Khonsu is the ancient Egyptian god of the moon. Khonsu means “traveller”, and relates to the moon traveling across the night sky. It was believed that Khonsu was instrumental in the creation of new life amongst all living creatures. As the god of light in the night, Khonsu was invoked to protect against the wild animals and aI’d with healing.
